YoungLives | YoungLives is a ministry dedicated to reaching teen parents through relationship, mentoring and fun. We go where teen parents are and build relationships with them out of love and compassion and offer the hope of Jesus through our monthly gatherings and summer camping opportunities. During our monthly club we provide material assistance, share a meal, have fun together through games and activities and share the gospel through a club talk.

A Beautiful Mess: Coming From a Dysfunctional Family Doesn’t Destine You for a Dysfunctional Life.
Family. This group of people has so much power over us. Our familial experiences forever shape our lives. Truth be told, family can be a source of life giving joy. Family can also be a source of palpable pain that leaves us angry, confused and unable to move on. And yet… when we search the pages of the Scriptures… we see that families are building blocks of society. In fact, God brought about redemption through a family. In the midst of pain and brokenness, God promises healing through adoption into a new family with him as our heavenly father. In this book, we journey through the biblical account of Genesis addressing challenges facing every one of our families. These challenges make us who we are. But even in the mess of family dysfunction, God can make something beautiful … through the power of the Gospel!
We Need a King after God’s Heart: An Expositional study of the life of David from 1 & 2 Samuel
The books of 1 and 2 Samuel are a historic account of how a loose confederacy of tribes comes together under the banner of a united monarchy through the covenant of God. A shepherd boy is anointed king. A taunting giant falls to the ground in defeat. This is a story of hard-fought battles and gut-wrenching political betrayals. The Bible pulls no punches as it displays leaders who accomplish great feats for the armies of God, but who also usurp power, fall into adultery and even commit suicide. This book draws on a number of major themes from the lives of Samuel, Saul and David, using them as examples for us, both positive and negative. Samuel guides Israel out of the time of the judges, Saul personifies the idolatry and unbelief of Israel and David is portrayed as a great hero of the faith and a worthy model to follow. Each of these leaders paint a nuanced picture of heroes and villains, pointing us toward our own need for the greater King, Jesus, and the importance of our obedience in response to his covenant.
Proverbs: The Way of Wisdom, a 31 – Day Daily Devotional
Have you ever been traveling around in a new place and suddenly felt lost and disoriented? Sometimes life’s twists and turns can make us feel that way. There are new situations we face with each new season of life, filled with confusing circumstances and crossroads that leave us at times puzzled, perplexed and paralyzed with indecision. What is the wise thing to do? The book of Proverbs is a source of wisdom, compiled for an ancient nation’s king that serves as a 21st century spiritual navigational tool for us today. How do we avoid foolish choices? How do we handle our money in a godly way? How can we manage our emotions? This practical book is about how to conduct ourselves in our daily lives through all the routine issues which often baffle us in a variety of areas: our parenting, our work and our conversations with others. The book of Proverbs is a guide book from God Himself which shows us how to order our steps each day to please Him. If we could summarize the message of Proverbs in one sentence, here it is: Unless you fear the lord and choose His wisdom in life, you will end up a fool with all the pain and the strife.This daily devotional will provide you with an overview of the book of Proverbs, designed to challenge you and inspire you to live a life of wisdom over the next 31 days. We hope this will be a month of storing up wisdom from God which will reflect practically in your daily life. May God bless you richly in this study of His divine wisdom.
Meaning in the Madness: An Expositional study of the Book of Ecclesiastes
Chaos—that word seems to capture the spirit of our age. Instability, wars, pandemics, and institutional breakdown have left many asking: Is anyone in control? Is there any real meaning or purpose? With endless choices and uncertain times, people today are more jaded and less secure than ever before. Doubt is the new default. We’re living in a world that feels… mad.
So how do we live by faith in a world of madness?
That’s the central question of Ecclesiastes. This ancient book doesn’t avoid our doubts—it invites them. It wrestles with life’s deepest questions: Why are we here? What’s the point of it all? Can anything truly satisfy?
We’ll explore themes that matter to everyone: meaning, purpose, happiness, work, wealth, fame, power, suffering, justice, and death. The world’s answers often fall short. But the Teacher in Ecclesiastes leads us to see that even in chaos, there is order; even in absurdity, there is beauty. And behind it all stands the God who gives everything meaning.
Join us on a journey to discover meaning in the madness—and the God who meets us there.

Bible Study Fellowship, Mondays 6:55pm
Men & Women's BSF
Begins Monday, September 8th @ 6:55pm, MBC
This year’s study, Exile and Return, invites you on a powerful journey through the Old Testament, where God’s people were called to build His kingdom in a foreign land. Their story is our story—we, too, are strangers in a broken world, called to build for His glory. As we explore how God equips and positions His people, we’re challenged to ask: Am I building my life for Christ? Exile and Return reminds us that our time to build is now.
Books included in this year’s study: Ezekiel, Daniel, Ezra, Esther, Haggai, Zechariah, Nehemiah, and Malachi.
Questions? Contact: John Drew, Men’s Class Administrator, or Priya Mamidi, Women’s Class Administrator.
Women will meet in the YFMB (Youth & Family Ministry Building). Men are in the Sanctuary.

Most of our Bible study throughout our Christian lives focuses on understanding God and learning how to live in right relationship to Him, ourselves and each other-and this is certainly vital to our spiritual growth. However, the Bible also teaches us how to live in right relationship to every aspect of God’s creation, which includes society, culture, art, economics, education and politics just to name a few. Furthermore, the Bible helps us understand how to properly order (or re-order) the fallen world as we join Christ in his work of restoring all things. This is where a “Christian worldview” proves vital.
Ours is a world where the “powers and principalities” are actively working to dis-order God’s good creation in areas such as marriage, family, human sexuality, and personhood. As disciples of Christ, we cannot truly love our neighbors and remain indifferent to ideas and actions that do harm to people and God’s creation. The fact is “ideas have consequences and bad ideas have victims.” Because we care about the victims of “bad ideas,” we are pleased to partner with the Colson Center for Christian Worldview in bringing the Colson Fellows Program to MBC.
The Colson Fellows Program is a transformational course that compresses a lifetime of Christian wisdom…into nine months. This program will establish a solid foundation for those who are new to the study of Christian worldview, and for those who are well-versed in worldview and apologetics; you will gain new insights into today ‘s rapidly changing culture. Colson Fellows-in-Training go beyond understanding worldview as mere arguments and facts, and develop instead, the critical thinking skills or wisdom to discern what is or is not true, good, and beautiful in every issue that assails us today so they can understand the times and engage others thoughtfully and with grace.
Program Overview
Beginning each August, Colson Fellows-in-Training follow a carefully curated curriculum that helps them understand and identify worldviews and how they manifest in today’s ideas, philosophies, policies and practice. You will learn how to analyze and understand culture and its influence. Additionally, we will examine current cultural flashpoints such as race relations, progressive sexuality, religious liberty, the role of government, economics, and sanctity of life. Finally, Colson Fellows-in-Training will examine the concept of “calling” and develop a “Personal Ministry Plan” that will help them discover their calling, identify their unique gifts and sphere of influence.
Other features of the Program include:
- 24/7 /365 access to the Colson Fellows Online Learning Platform;
- Monthly Meetings facilitated by Bob Erbig, Lead Pastor for Preaching, Family Life and Mission, a commissioned Colson Fellow.
- Twice-Monthly Video Webinars in which you are able to interact with authors from the reading list
and other leading worldview scholars; - Interactive daily devotionals that weave together all course components;
- Assistance developing a teaching practicum in which you will teach on a topic you’ve learned;

Palm Sunday
April 13th, 2025 at 9am & 10:45am
Join us this Palm Sunday as we celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem and conclude our Resilient sermon series. As Jesus rode into the city, the crowds waved palm branches and shouted, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” (Mark 11:9). It was a moment of joy and expectation, yet we know the week ahead would test His endurance in ways no one could have imagined.
Palm Sunday reminds us that true resilience is found in Christ. Though He entered Jerusalem as a King, He would soon take the path of suffering for our salvation. As we conclude our Resilient series, we will reflect on how Jesus endured the cross so that we might stand firm in faith, no matter the trials we face.
We will have palms available for everyone to take as we remember this powerful moment in Jesus’ journey to the cross. Come ready to worship, reflect, and prepare your heart for Holy Week as we look to the One who overcame for us.
Hosanna in the highest!

Easter Sunday
April 20th, 2025 at 8am & 9:30am & 11am
He Is Risen! This Easter Sunday, we gather to celebrate the greatest victory in history—the resurrection of Jesus Christ. His triumph over sin and death is the foundation of our faith and the source of our eternal hope.
In 2 Corinthians 5, the Apostle Paul reminds us of the life-transforming power of the resurrection. Because Christ died and rose again, we no longer live for ourselves but for Him (v. 15). Through His sacrifice, we are made new—“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” (v. 17). This is the miracle of Easter: God, in His mercy, has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ.
The empty tomb is more than proof of Christ’s power over death; it is an invitation to new life. Paul declares that we have been given the ministry of reconciliation (v. 18), called to share the good news that God no longer counts our sins against us because of Jesus. In a world filled with brokenness, this message of reconciliation and renewal is more needed than ever.
As we celebrate Christ’s resurrection today, let us reflect on what it means to be a “new creation.” What areas of our lives need His renewing power? How can we live as ambassadors of His grace, proclaiming the victory of the risen King?
This Easter, may we rejoice in the hope we have in Christ, embrace our identity as God’s redeemed people, and proclaim with confidence: He is risen indeed!

Good Friday
April 18th, 2025 at 7pm
Join us this Good Friday as we gather to remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. On this solemn night, we reflect on the weight of His suffering, the depth of His love, and the power of His final words: “It is finished” (John 19:30).
The cross is where our salvation was won. Jesus, the innocent Lamb of God, took upon Himself the sin of the world, bearing the punishment we deserved so that we might be reconciled to God. Though darkness covered the earth, and hope seemed lost, we know that this was not the end of the story.
This service will be a time of Scripture, reflection, and worship as we remember Christ’s ultimate act of love. Let us gather in reverence and gratitude, preparing our hearts for the joy that is to come on Easter morning.
Come, and behold the Lamb who was slain for us.
