At Millington Baptist Church, Upside Down Glory is our commitment to live out this conviction together—building a church family where every person, of every ability, is welcomed, discipled, and empowered as an essential member of the Body of Christ.

This ministry is more than a program—it is a culture. Through our partnership with Joni and Friends, our Disability Leadership Team (DsLT), and a growing network of care, hospitality, and outreach, we are working toward a church that looks like the Kingdom: a table with room for everyone. MBC 175th Anniversary Banquet

175 years of God’s faithfulness to MBC. We are amazed at the wonderful works God has done through his church over the past 175 years. To remember all that he has done and celebrate all that he has done, we will be having a 175th anniversary banquet! This banquet will be taking place on Thursday, November 12th at 7pm. We hope you can join us!

Update 3/16/2023

The Annual Business Meeting was a great time for the church to recap the past fiscal year and to look forward to 2023-2024. Pastor Bob & Pastor Dave spoke about our plans to continue to be firmly planted, growing together, and investing in the lives of others. Larry Blakeman shared about the budget and new World Partners. We had a good time celebrating what God has done and expectant of the future of our church.

We did have quorum and voted unanimously to pass the proposed budget for 2023-2024.

Also, a motion carried unanimously for additional funding that was requested for 2022-2023.

Hock Ng presented from the Elder Nominating Committee five new candidates:

Most importantly, your participation is essential to this meeting’s success. According to our constitution, first we need 20% of active voting members to attend the meeting to constitute a quorum. Second, of those attending, we need a simple majority vote to both approve the annual operating budget and to elect members to the Board of Elders. Please make every effort to attend and vote.

Join us October 2–4 for our 2026 Missions Conference, a weekend celebrating our church’s long partnership with WorldVenture and the bold faith it takes to answer God’s call to the nations. Through inspiring messages, missionary spotlights, and honest conversations, we’ll hear firsthand stories of what led our missionaries to step out in faith and get a firsthand look at how missions is unfolding around the world—from Senegal to Ukraine and beyond. Whether you’ve served on the field or are just beginning to wonder what your part might be, this conference is an invitation to see God’s global mission up close and ask: where might He be calling me to go? Join us for worship, fellowship, meals together, and a weekend that just might stir up some bold faith of your own.

MBC Summerfest

We are so excited for our first ever MBC Summerfest! This will be a great time for the whole family and the whole community to enjoy. There will be food, games, live music, and much more. MBC 175th Anniversary Worship Service

MBC 175th Tree Planting Ceremony

On Saturday, May 2nd at 11am we were blessed to have our 175th Anniversary Tree Planting ceremony at MBC! Millington Baptist Church has been blessed to do ministry in our community over the past 175 years. Our mission is to be a church that is firmly planted, growing together, and made to multiply. Cultivating the Christian Life: Firmly Planted

Leaders: Pastor Dave Hentschel, Lead Pastor of Preaching, Spiritual Formation & Care and Amy Huber, Director of Discipleship & Connections

This course is the first track in a three-track series which lays out the essential foundation for MBC’s discipleship journey. Like a seed planted in good soil, spiritual life begins by anchoring ourselves firmly in the truth of the Gospel. Designed as a community small group, this track will be highly practical in nature as participants learn to plant their feet on solid theological ground and embrace the seed of the Gospel daily as the source of life and transformation.
From there, roots begin to grow deeper. We address the heart, not just behavior, learning to identify the root issues beneath our struggles and to understand our new identity in Christ. Rather than pursuing quick fixes or surface change, this track cultivates honest repentance, renewed thinking, and confidence in who we are and whose we are.
By the end of Track 1, participants will be grounded in Gospel truth, rooted in love, and established in a biblical understanding of spiritual growth. This is where stability forms, where faith deepens, and where real transformation begins beneath the surface ($25 Cultivating the Christian Life Workbook is recommended but not required).

Class will be on Sundays at 11am for five consecutive weeks beginning September 6th through October 4th in YFMB Great Room.
