Pickleball+ Every Sunday Extended Through Daylight Savings Time

Due to popular demand, Pickleball is here to stay through daylight savings time!

Spend Sunday Evenings with your MBC family!

All ages are welcome.

There will be pickup Pickleball for those interested, as well as other fun games for the whole family to enjoy together!

UPDATE: There will be no pickleball Sunday, September 3rd in recognition of Labor Day Weekend. We’ll see you next Sunday 9/10 at 5:30pm instead of 6pm so we can have more time to play before the sun goes down.

Radical Mentoring – Coming in September

Radical Mentoring is a special type of men’s small group made up of high potential men facilitated by a more senior, more mature man. The vision is to help these men live God-centric lives and fulfill their God-given potential.

It is our goal to impact the lives of men in a way that points them toward an integrated Christian life. We believe that we can have successful careers and be learners and followers of Jesus and be great husbands, fathers, church members, sons, civic leaders, disciple-makers and friends . . . all at the same time.

During this fall we will have two mentoring groups. The mentors will endeavor to share what they’ve learned about success, most often focusing on what they have screwed up on . . . hopefully, so that you can avoid the mistakes they made along the way. We will spend significant time on understanding who we are in God’s eyes, how to better relate to our wives, and how to best raise children. We’ll spend even more time on getting to know what it means to have a vibrant, living relationship with Jesus.

The type of guys we are looking for are . . .

Objective men: willing to take direct, pervasive feedback without being defensive; willing to look themselves in the mirror and make changes to improve
Humble men, hungry for personal growth
Men with a passionate commitment to Jesus
Men with a willingness to pay it forward and influence other guys in the future

The program involves a monthly two-hour meeting. Each meeting will be centered around a topic, and there will be a related book to reading, personal and relational assignments to complete and a verse or two of Scripture to memorize or study.

Passion Conference 2024

Atlanta, GA, January 3-5, 2024

MBC is inviting young adults (ages 18-25, post-HS) to the Passion Conference in Atlanta, Georgia which will take place January 3rd-5th. Come experience a life-transforming conference of worship, messages, and community together with your fellow young adults. Reserve your seat today!

The cost will vary depending on the number of people attending (estimated $100-$350), and there will be a $50 non-refundable deposit. The final cost will be determined once amount of attendees is finalized. Cost includes flight, event ticket, hotel, and rides All attendees will fly to Atlanta together and stay in a hotel near the conference arena. Register by April 30th, 2023.

From its start in 1995, the Passion movement has a singular mission—calling students and leaders from campuses across the nation and cities around the world to live for what matters most. For us, what matters most is the name and renown of Jesus. We believe in this generation and are watching God use them to change the climate of faith around the globe.

Shared Interest Groups

What is a Shared Interest Group?

Shared Interest Groups are groups formed around a common goal and are generally informal in nature.

What is a Shared Interest Group’s purpose?

Groups are intended to help people to build relationships with each other in a gospel-centered way apart from the Sunday morning worship experience. Groups are created to help people engage with others, both within and outside of the church, in cultural, artistic, recreational, leisure and sports activities.

Who should consider joining a Shared Interest Group?

Individuals, small groups, teams or whole communities can join a Shared Interest Group. They are relevant to people of all different ages, abilities and levels of skill…in other words, there’s something for everyone!

Shared Interest Groups are fun, interactive, and designed as great way to get to know others. Participation serves as a valuable supplement toward building biblical community.

Women’s Connections Class

Women of all ages are invited to participate in a group study of Colossians on Sunday mornings.

Pastor, author and speaker, Paul David Tripp, says he would entitle Colossians, “Jesus at the Center.” Jesus is the ultimate embodiment of the grace of God!

Colossians focuses on the supremacy and the sufficiency of Christ Jesus. Jesus is in every passage and every verse of Colossians. The apostle Paul has one thing that he wants us to know: that there is no gospel apart from His person and work.

There will be a rotating schedule of leaders and we will use the Bible as our guide for learning and discussion. Join us as we dive deep into God’s Word and experience His fullness like never before.

We are excited to announce the Millington Baptist Church (MBC) Internship Program! Our desire is to equip leaders to succeed in all facets of church ministry. The MBC Internship Program will provide interns with hands-on ministry experience, as well as intentional leadership training and development for one of our ministry seasons.

Internships are available for the follow terms:

Summer Session (May- August)
Fall Session (September- December)
Winter/Spring Session (January- April)

Specific start and end dates will be discussed with you during the interview process. Longer internships are available based on availability.

If you are ready to proceed, you may download and complete the application, and forward to Pastor Bob Erbig. You will then be connected with the appropriate MLT Member for an interview and next steps.
