MBC’s Senior Luncheon provides a time of food, fun and fellowship to seniors within our church and neighboring communities once a month.
This month we are pleased to have friends from the Turtle Back Zoo join us to talk about zoo conservation and stewardship.
Zoo Conservation and Stewardship dives into how zoos came to be and touches upon the history of Turtle Back Zoo. The program will begin with a discussion about the importance of zoos (for education, conservation, and rehabilitation) and how they help save our animal species globally, and will include a chance to meet some of our ambassador animals from the zoo up close!

This month, our friends from the Basking Ridge Environmental Center will give an informative presentation entitled, “Birds of the World“:
Did you know that there are types of poisonous birds?
Did you know that birds can fly while they are asleep?
How about that one species migrates 50,000 miles every year?

There are over 10,000 species of birds in the world and each one is more unexplainable that the next. This one-hour lecture highlights the wackiest, funniest, and most bizarre species from around the globe.
