Radical Mentoring is a special type of men’s small group made up of high-potential young men facilitated by more senior and mature men. The vision is to help younger men live God-centered lives and fulfill their God-given potential.

The mentors will endeavor to share what they have learned about success and failure. Most importantly, they will share what it means to have a vibrant, living relationship with Jesus along the way.

Truth Rising Documentary Viewing

Join us on Friday, September 19th from 6:30pm to 9pm as we host a “Truth Rising” documentary viewing from the Colson Fellows. At 6:30pm we will enjoy an Ice Cream Social, at 7pm we will view the documentary, and at 8:30pm we will have time for thoughtful discussion. We hope you can make it!

In the Truth Rising documentary film, you’ll hear conversations about the state of our civilization with prominent speakers from all over the world—both Christian and secular, seasoned leaders and bold advocates – each offering honest, thought-provoking insight into how we can live with truth and courage in a world desperate for clarity.

MBC Buildings & Grounds Team

Are you interested in serving on the Buildings & Grounds Team?

The MBC Buildings & Grounds Team is looking for members to help make our campus CLEAN & SAFE! This is a great opportunity to be a part of a team focussed on beautifying God’s house through hands at work, hearts in worship, and building God’s people.

What is the purpose of the MBC Buildings & Grounds team?
The MBC Buildings and Grounds committee is a volunteer team of individuals who have a heart to put their skills to work on campus. We’re looking for individuals who take leadership in the areas of plumbing & ac, electricians, masons, painters, landscaping, contracting, cleaners & organizers, and interior design. Teams would meet 5-6 times a year depending on the project needs and volunteer basis. Ideally, each team has a chair point person to head it up and organize projects.

What are some of the teams to serve on? 

Fence line clean up and cemetery inspections. Inspecting quality of vegetation and create outdoor seating spots. Outdoor furniture maintenance. Check quality of fixtures inside the building such as walls for holes, loose legs on tables, cabinets that need repair, loose hinges, ceiling tiles, outdoor painting, pressure washing, and parking lot railroad ties.

Routinely check all the toilets and faucets for any needs. Check all faucets for leaks. Check outside hose bibs for leaks and operation. Look at any exposed water piping or gas piping for potential leaks and repair as needed HVAC – change HVAC filters and service units in off season. Update thermostats and add sensors if needed. Repair HVAC units if needed and charge refrigerant if low.

As needed – add outlets, check and adjust timers and outdoor bulbs for replacement. Update electric as needed across campus.

Closets, sheds, and attic cleaning – shampoo chairs, wash walls, baseboard washing, stairwell cleaning, tv cleaning.

Room by room repaint and touch up as needed. Remove wallpaper from stairwell and repair/paint as needed.

General building upkeep – patch/spackle holes, vanity replacement, baseboard trim update, and stage/sanctuary upkeep.

Repair steps, handrails, retaining walls, fascia repairs.

Help support our Financial Manager with counting offering that comes in through giving to the church.

MBC Safety & Security Team

Are you interested in helping with MBC’s Safety and Security?

The MBC Safety & Security Team is looking for members to help make our campus SAFE & SECURE! This is a great opportunity to be a part of fostering a safe & secure environment for our church to pursue our mission and values.

What is the purpose of the MBC Safety & Security Team?
The MBC Safety and Security Team exists to safeguard the well-being of our church community by fostering a safe and secure environment that reflects our ministry’s values and mission. Through comprehensive planning, proactive risk management, and collaborative oversight, the team is committed to ensuring that all members, guests, and staff can worship, serve, and fellowship in peace and safety.

What are the responsibilities of the MBC Safety & Security Team?
To achieve this mission, the Safety Team will provide leadership and guidance at MBC by implementing preventive safety measures and emergency response procedures for situations including: 

  • Medical Emergencies
  • Security Incidents (e.g., suspicious guests, emotional outbursts, physical threats, thefts)
  • Building Evacuation (e.g., fire, gas leaks, weapons, or bomb threats)

The Safety and Security Team consists of trained volunteers and staff with backgrounds in medical care, law enforcement, security, and pastoral care. The team will ensure safety and readiness during services and church events while also training staff and ministry volunteers on emergency responses. 

What is the vision of the Safety & Security Team? 

Our vision is to build a culture of safety and preparedness at MBC that aligns with our mission to glorify God, nurture community, and spread the Gospel. This vision will be realized by: 

  • Conducting Comprehensive Risk Assessments: Evaluating potential vulnerabilities and security risks specific to our ministry’s context.
  • Enhancing Existing Measures: Reviewing and improving current safety practices to meet the growing needs of our church family. 
  • Developing Strategic Plans: Addressing identified vulnerabilities through actionable plans and aligning resources with our safety objectives. 
  • Implementing Robust Policies and Procedures: Establishing clear and comprehensive guidelines to ensure the effective and consistent operation of the security team. 
  • Appointing Qualified Leaders: Ensuring dedicated leadership to oversee the day-to-day implementation of safety protocols and foster ongoing communication with leadership. 
  • Facilitating Transparent Communication: Promoting regular dialogue between the Security Team, leadership, and the church body to address evolving safety concerns and maintain accountability. 

Through these initiatives, the MBC Security Team aims to embody stewardship, diligence, and faith, ensuring that our church remains a sanctuary of worship and spiritual growth. 

“And we prayed to our God and set a guard as a protection against them day and night..” Nehemiah 4:9, ESV.
