Faith Explored: Begins October 5th, 2025
by Noah Graves
Who?
Everyone who went through Christianity Explored, and anyone else who would benefit from looking closely at the foundations of our faith, particularly as laid out in the book of Galatians.
How?
A workbook, and a brief assignment each week.
What’s Faith Explored about?
In the New Testament book of Galatians, the apostle Paul begins by reminding the church in Galatia that there is only one gospel. He ends by urging them to “keep in step with the Spirit.” What are some practical ways we can do this? As new believers or even more mature Christians, how do we grow in faith and learn to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit?
This 8-week Sunday school class is designed for those new in the Christian faith or still exploring the faith, although all are welcome. Prior Bible knowledge is not required, and questions are encouraged! We will read through the book of Galatians at a slow pace, with a bit of homework assigned each week.
Where? And When?
In the Youth & Family Ministry Building every Sunday from Sunday, October 5th 2025 to Sunday November 23rd 2025.
Operation Christmas Child 2025
by Noah Graves
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. They ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease.
At MBC, we love to participate in OCC! Boxes and brochures are available in the foyer. Drop off boxes at MBC by November 16, and be sure to enclose a $10 donation for each box. You can write 1 check to cover all the boxes you submit, or donate online and check Follow Your Box to track it to its recipient(s). For more info or ideas on packing a shoe box, check out their website here
Collection date is Sunday, November 16.

Fathers and sons!
We’re excited to be relaunching our Men’s Ministry Breakfast time on June 3rd. Come hear from our panel of Mentors from our Radical Mentoring Ministry.
Radical Mentoring is a special type of men’s small group made up of high-potential young men facilitated by more senior and mature men. The vision is to help younger men live God-centered lives and fulfill their God-given potential.
The mentors will endeavor to share what they have learned about success and failure. Most importantly, they will share what it means to have a vibrant, living relationship with Jesus along the way.
Join us for breakfast and a meaningful time of sharing. For more information contact Craig McLaughlin or Pete Lima or call the church office at 908-647-0594.
Membership
by Marc DAgusto
Fall 2025 Membership Class Details
Length: 3-week class
Date: October 12th & 19th & 26th, 2025
Location: Great Room, YFMB
Time: 10:45am
Why Membership
Unlike a social-club membership, where the organization exists to serve the members, church membership is more akin to being in a family, or sports team. Membership at MBC exists as a united group of believers who are counted on in an attempt to fulfill a common purpose of becoming a provider of God’s love and care to others. We are a church not for ourselves, but for others. Members commit to joining a spiritual family that provides encouragement and support to one another. We are called to a higher degree of responsibility, service and sacrifice. Our elders and leaders pledge to assist our members with care, counsel, prayer and teaching.
Is Church Membership Biblical?
We hope that, as the Lord leads, you make a covenant to be part of our church family.
If you are interested in becoming a member please read through our four-step process below.
We want you to make an informed decision about joining our church. We periodically offer a Membership class that explains our values and beliefs and discusses the next steps to joining MBC. All prospective members are invited to attend our Membership class. This is where you will learn about the history and vision of MBC, acquaint yourself with its ministries and opportunities, and dialogue with elders and other congregants on questions you may have about the church or Christian community. This 3-week class will include the following topics: Articles of Faith & Doctrinal Positions, Church Covenant, Vision & Mission Life.
Upon completion, those who attended are able but not obligated to sign up for a membership interview, the second step of the membership process.
For more information on how to become a member please contact the main office at: 908.647.0594 or reach out to MBC’s email.
For many, baptism is the first public step of obedience to Christ. If you have not been baptized following salvation, we ask you to take this step before becoming a Member.
Signing the Covenant Sign the statement of faith and church covenant, and the application would go to the elders. |
Meet with an Elder The final step is for the prospective member meets with an Elder for approximately 45 mins to provide basic biographical information and recount God’s converting work in his or her life. |
