Upside Down Glory
Sermon series on Disability & The Kingdom of God
In Upside Down Glory, we’ll explore how God’s power is revealed not through perfection, but through weakness. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 1:26–31 and the stories of people like Jacob, Moses, Mephibosheth, and the man born blind, this series challenges how we see disability — and how we see ourselves.
Disability is not an exception to God’s image but an expression of it. Throughout Scripture, God reveals His heart through those the world overlooks, calling the church to do the same. Over eight weeks, we’ll redefine “ability,” confront suffering with hope, and discover how to build a truly welcoming, inclusive, and compassionate church family.
This series also marks the launch of MBC’s Disability Ministry Initiative — an effort to become a church known for its cross-discipline integration of family, care, hospitality, and outreach for people impacted by disability.
