Teens | The Rush is a place where students are loved, accepted and encouraged to play active roles in each other’s life stories. Together we engage in transformational experiences that broaden and deepen their relationships with God and each other with the goal of emerging as powerful women and men of Christ. Here teens are mentored by godly leaders who encourage the next generation to step into the roles they have been called to play. We share in each other’s struggles and joys; revitalize our communities; and care for the unwanted, unreached, and unengaged.

Rush One Form 2024-2025
In order to be allowed to participate in our trips and retreats, we will need a copy of this form. Please take a moment to complete it. Any questions don’t hesitate to ask.
Our events are intended to encourage Renewal, Growth, Connection & Action within community.
Every Sunday @ 9am
We gather every Sunday @ 9-10:15am in the lower level of the YFMB | This will be open to all students in 7th-12th grade. Our focus on Sunday mornings this year will be growing students stronger in their faith. Throughout the year we challenge our students with in depth biblical lessons that helps strengthen their faith in Christ. If you are a looking for a place to grow, Rush Hour seeks to accomplish just that.
Every Wednesday @ 7pm
Meetings are every Wednesday from 7-8:45pm | This is a chance, every week, for students to take a break from their weekly routine to hear relevant teaching, engage in small group discussion, and take part in fun, creative activities. Come out and bring your friends every Wednesday night at 7pm for “Rush.”
ALL ARE WELCOME AT 6:30PM FOR A TIME OF PRAYER OVER THE EVENING

Annual Winter Retreat
Winter retreat is January 20-22 at River Valley Ranch in Manchester, MD
Arrive at 3pm Jan 20 and arrive back at Jan 22 around 4pm.
Cost is 180 and students will need $$ for dinner on the way down, lunch on the way back and any snacks/gifts at the gift shop.

Dominican Republic Trip Sign Up Now!
Thank you to all who made it out to our info meeting. We were amazed at the turnout of all those interested in this trip. If you missed it here is a video of all that we went over and hope it is helpful for you that you can find at the bottom of this email along with bullet point key highlights.Please spend time in prayer and conversation with your mom/dad or child about serving on this trip. We are praying God will form the right team to send to the DR to further his kingdom and preach the good news. Prayerfully consider how the Lord can use you on a trip like this.
If you have any other questions regarding the trip, please email or call me and we can talk through those. If money is a concern, I would also love to talk through that so people feel comfortable about raising money for the trip. Don’t hesitate to reach out!As we are dealing with flying out of the country we will need to move along promptly to secure flights with United, hotels, passports, etc. Thus, we will have sign ups currently live until next Thursday November 16th being our last day to sign up, with a current cap of 35 total going (subject to change, if more potentially filled at a higher cost).

This trip is open to both middle and high schoolers (7th-12th grades) and costs $180.
We will depart MBC at 4pm on Friday, March 1st, and return at approximately 4pm on Sunday March 3rd.

Girls Bible Study
Dates are: 1/21, 2/4, 2/25, 3/10, 3/24, 4/7, 4/21, 5/5, 5/19
Join Dierdre Rajoppi and Gail Loehr and learn what it really means to “Love the Lord your God with ALL your heart.”
All middle school and high school girls are encouraged to join our girls Bible Study, every other Sunday following service in the YFMB.
…. And yes, there will be food!

The teenage years can be some of the most exciting and challenging that we ever face. Here at The Rush, we want to be a place where teenagers will be accepted and loved for who they are as they are challenged to grow in their knowledge, love, and passion for Jesus! We accomplish this through fun and compelling environments on Sundays and Wednesdays, through our retreats, service outreaches, and mission trips. Last summer we took an awesome group of teens to serve and share the love of Christ in Chicago. It was amazing to watch the growth, passion and excitement in our teenagers as they were used by God to reach our world. We desire this for everyone who comes in the doors! We invite you to come and check us out… and jump in with the Rush!
