Missionary Partner for the week:

A handful of guys sat around the table sharing about who had made the greatest impact on their faith. Most talked about pastors and parents. But Austin pointed to the guy next to him. “I’m here because of Landon.”*
Landon and Austin are in the same shop class at Thaddeus Stevens—and they didn’t hit it off at first. They have different personalities, interests, and humor. But their biggest difference was their relationship with Christ. Landon was chasing after Jesus; Austin was running away.
Landon could relate. He once had little interest in Jesus. Growing up in church, he didn’t feel like Christianity had much to offer. So he pursued worldly pleasures to escape his difficulties and live life on his own terms. But his dad kept bringing him to a weekly worship night at a friend’s house. Landon could think of countless other ways to spend his Friday night besides hours of singing and praying. Yet it was there, during an extended time of worship, that Christ grabbed hold of him. “It was like I was meeting God for the first time. I knew at that moment, I’m never going to be the same.”
Please pray:
- Landon and Austin’s love for Jesus continues to grow as they pursue others for the gospel.
- Eric repents and believes the gospel, finding his only hope in Jesus.
- More believers on our campuses catch the vision for reaching their friends, family, and classmates for Christ.
Burial on Christian Property Triggers Destructive Mob
Villagers in Chhattisgarh state reacted violently against local Christians who buried a non-Christian man on their property. The burial of Chamru Ram Salam on Dec. 16, 2025, was conducted according to the rites of a traditional tribal religion. However, because half of Salam’s family, including three of his five sons, are Christian, the mob called the burial an insult to their deities. More than 500 villagers with wooden sticks and slingshots attacked mourners at the grave. Several people were injured, and the family and other Christians fled the village for weeks. The mob looted the family’s property, set fire to their home and three churches and vandalized the homes of 15 other Christian families. Ultimately, local officials moved the body to a Christian cemetery, even though Salam’s oldest son said that neither he nor his father were Christians. Pray for the safety and provision of this family and other local Christians.
