Young Adults (Ages 18-30)

Young adults ages 18-30 are invited to go deeper in their relationship with God and with each other as we navigate this exciting and complex life stage together. We will engage in topical cultural discussions through thought-provoking messages, serving opportunities, and time in prayer that aims to develop a strong community of believers. Plus, did we mention there will be food? Come join us!

June 2026: For June 2026 our two meeting dates will be on the second (6/13) and fourth (6/27) Sundays of the month. After that, we will return to the first & third Sundays moving forward.

Young Adults Class: Preparing for the Next Stage of Life, Ages 18-25

If you are in college or newly embarking on a career and don’t feel fully prepared to face many important aspects of life, such as: managing money, creating a resume, interviewing, taxes, investing, or even deciding on a church, this 4-week class will help prepare you for what lies ahead in this
next stage of your life.

Somerset Patriots Night

What: Come join us Saturday, August 15th at 6:35pm for a night of fun and fellowship at Somerset Patriot Stadium. Take advantage of discounted tickets by pre-purchasing tickets here. Tickets will be made available for pick up at the box office the night of the event. Please note there is a limited number of tickets available, and we will not be able to reserve tickets. All tickets must be pre-paid prior to the night of the event.

The theme for the night is Revolutionary Revelry Night celebrating Our Revolutionary War History. The event will feature special Revolutionary War guests, displays and activities and more.

Barn Brothers – Saturday morning men’s group

Time: Saturday mornings, 7:15 to 8:45
Location: Members’ homes, usually in Warren or Basking Ridge
Description: Men, typically 10-15 young adults through seniors, gather for breakfast, fellowship, study and prayer. Confidential sharing of personal situations and concerns is encouraged, and prayerful support is always offered. Study and discussions can be focused on particular Scriptures or topical books on Christian living.

One of our most frequent meeting places was previously a stable, hence the name.

Men's "Power Hour"

Leader: Jim Luedecker

Location: YFMB Room 202

Meeting Times: Saturday Mornings 7:00am to 8:30am

Description: Power Hour meets Saturday mornings from 7:00-8:30. It is a group of men seeking to know God better by concentrating on how He speaks to us through Scripture. After an opening prayer, we look at a portion of scripture directly, or use a topical book based on scripture, seeking not only knowledge, but wisdom: wisdom being the application of knowledge learned. But it is more, for it is a place where a man can share personal concerns, seeking help and guidance, knowing that everything discussed will be kept in strictest confidence by the group. We end with a time for prayer, as the Spirit moves us each to do so.

The Men’s Ministry offers several large group breakfasts throughout the year and will be kicking off service projects beginning this fall. Additionally, throughout the year, the men plan activity nights and family baseball game outings at the Somerset Patriots’ ballpark in Bridgewater.

The Men’s Ministry is calling all MBC men and their sons to join us on Saturday, March 9^th at 8:00am in Fellowship Hall for a time of fellowship, worship, and encouragement at our next Men’s Ministry breakfast.

It has been said that two of the greatest proofs for the truth of Scripture and Christianity are the number of fulfilled prophecies we see in Scripture and the power of God to change lives. At our upcoming breakfast we will have the opportunity to hear from two of our brothers in the Lord and witness how God pursued them and restored them into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our brother Amit Nihilani will be sharing the testimony of God’s grace and mercy in their lives.

Your presence will also be an encouragement to the men from Market Street Mission who will also be joining us for this breakfast.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday March 9^th.

We invite you to join us at a Stand Courageous Men’s Conference to discuss critical aspects of masculinity. These conferences are led by men who struggle with the same issues you do, and will invest in unpacking our role as a defender, provider, instructor, and battle buddy so that we can have the generational influence as a “chaplain” inside and outside the home.
