Firmly Planted, Growing Together, Made to Multiply in 2026
MBC is thrilled to be a part of the emerging growth of God’s redemption and mission for our church.
We pray that you catch this vision with us to bring His light into this dark area. To that end, we invite you to partner with us and prayerfully consider a special year-end gift. Your contribution will enable us to expand our ministry through both Gospel Demonstration and Gospel Proclamation. In the year 2027, we will accomplish our vision of increased cultural engagement by equipping the MBC body of believers, working with our local and global partners, and continuing campus upgrades.

Vision for 2027
Please ask God to guide your giving and consider making your best possible donation as an investment so we may be firmly planted, growing together, and sharing God’s love to everyone. We envision that your generous contributions for the five initiatives we outline below will deepen our congregation’s love for God, widen our love for each other, and live tall so we may be a beacon of hope to the community here where we are planted.Â
Please take a look below to see what MBC has in store for 2027.
  Your Generosity
We are filled with joy for an incredible 2026 at MBC!
As we look back on 2026, we are grateful for all that God has done in and through Millington Baptist Church. We joyfully celebrated our 175th anniversary with a number of special events, including building a Prayer Garden and enjoying a Tree Planting Ceremony in May, an Anniversary Worship Service in June at Liquid Church, a Summerfest Community Outreach on Labor Day weekend, a fall Missions Conference with WorldVenture, and a Celebration Banquet at the Olde Mill Inn in November. We also launched an online spiritual formation portal, hosted a Walk Thru the Bible seminar, and provided scholarships to make retreats more accessible for additional teens. Beyond our campus, we partnered with our local VA to launch a Bible study for veterans, continued our monthly outreach with City Relief to serve those experiencing homelessness, and launched a new disability ministry. We also continued to stand alongside First Choice as they brought their case before the Supreme Court, where they received a unanimous 9–0 victory. What a year of celebrating God’s faithfulness, growing in Christ, and extending the love of Christ to our community and beyond!
Expand Our Parking
Making Room for More
As God continues to bring people to Millington Baptist Church, we want to make sure our campus is equipped to welcome them.
We are excited to announce plans to add 38 new parking spaces to our campus. This project has received approval from the township, and construction is anticipated to begin in spring 2027.
While parking may seem like a practical matter, it is an important part of welcoming our neighbors, accommodating growing ministry needs, and making it easier for individuals and families to participate in the life of our church.
This is one tangible step toward preparing our campus to serve the next generation.

A Long-Term Vision
for Our Campus
Preparing Our Campus for the Future
We believe God has given Millington Baptist Church an important opportunity to prepare for the future of ministry in our community.
After an extensive planning process, our King George Road redevelopment team has completed a long-term vision for the future of our property. This comprehensive plan envisions expanded educational and ministry space, a new sanctuary, and additional parking—all designed to better support the mission and ministry of MBC for generations to come.
This is not simply about constructing new buildings. It is about creating spaces that will help us gather for worship, grow in our faith, disciple the next generation, and reach our community with the gospel.
The redevelopment is envisioned as a phased process over the next five to ten years. To help make this vision a reality, we anticipate launching our Imagine capital campaign in March 2027.
We look forward to sharing more about this vision and inviting our church family to prayerfully consider how we can move forward together.
Discipleship Conference
Equipping Us to Make Disciples
Making disciples is at the heart of the mission Jesus has given His church. We want to continue growing in our ability to help people follow Jesus, grow in their faith, and become mature followers of Christ who help others do the same.
To strengthen this commitment, Amy and a team from MBC will attend a discipleship conference to learn, grow, and explore practical ways to better equip our church for the work of making disciples.
We believe this investment will help strengthen our ministries, encourage those who serve, and cultivate a deeper culture of intentional discipleship throughout our congregation.
Our desire is not simply to make more programs, but to become a church where making disciples is part of everything we do.
Israel Trip 2027
Walking Where Jesus Walked
We are looking forward to an exciting opportunity to travel to Israel in the fall of 2027!
There is something uniquely meaningful about visiting the places where the events of Scripture unfolded. Walking through the land of the Bible can deepen our understanding of God’s Word, bring biblical history to life, and enrich our appreciation for the life and ministry of Jesus.
We anticipate this being a memorable opportunity for fellowship, learning, and spiritual growth as we experience the land of the Bible together.
We look forward to sharing more details as plans develop!
Biblical Literacy
Eat This Book: A Journey Through the Whole Bible
God has given us His Word as the foundation for our faith and the guide for our lives. We want to be a church that not only values the Bible but knows it, understands it, and lives it out.
To strengthen biblical literacy throughout our congregation, we are launching an initiative called Eat This Book. Together, we will journey through the entire Bible in one year, developing a deeper understanding of the grand story of Scripture and how every part of God’s Word points us to His redemptive purposes in Christ.
Our hope is that this shared journey will help us become more familiar with Scripture, more confident in understanding it, and more faithful in applying it to our everyday lives.
As the prophet Jeremiah wrote, “Your words were found, and I ate them” (Jeremiah 15:16).
We invite our entire church family to join us as we read, study, and grow together in God’s Word. Let’s eat this book!
2027 Contend Conference
Date: April 23-25, 2027
Theme: Foundations of the Faith:
Building a Culture That Lasts
The Contend Conference equips Christians to engage the culture with the gospel. This year’s theme is Foundations of the Faith: Building a Culture That Lasts. Our keynote speakers are Brett and Erin Kunkle and Elizabeth Urbanowitz.
There is something for the whole family. Kids will take a guided walk through the Bible, and teens will have their own programming.
Join us for a weekend that equips the church and brings glory to God. Your investment will help us train more people how to live as faithful followers of Christ in our current cultural moment.
Disability
Initiative
“Putting the Upside-Down Glory of God into Action”
Earlier this year, our sermon series on the upside-down glory of God showed us how God displays his power through weakness. Now we’re putting that into practice by serving those impacted by disability.
Training events: We will host more events that equip our church to serve well.
Care ministry: We are developing our care ministry for individuals and families impacted by disability.
Listening to your story: We want to hear your story so we know how best to serve you.
“Exhale” Respite nights: Our regular respite event begins Saturday, December 12, giving caregivers a night of rest while their loved ones are cared for.
Your investment will help us minister to individuals and families who are often overlooked.
Local Outreach
Serving Our Neighbors in the Name of Christ
We want to meet our community where they are. Here’s how:
Local V.A. Outreach: We will continue to serve veterans in our local community.
First Fridays: A new monthly outreach event, such as a movie night or coffee house, open to the whole community.
Drive-By Lemonade Stand: We’ll offer a cold drink and serve our neighbors in the name of Christ.
Street Fairs: We’ll have a presence at more local events, including Charter Day and the Sterling Street Fair.
175th Anniversary
This past year we were blessed to celebrate MBC’s 175th year of ministry! God has been faithful to MBC over the past 175 years and has done amazing ministry through this church. During our 175th year of ministry we we had various events to commemorate the 175 years and also put together a 175 year dynamic timeline of MBC, click the button below to see that timeline.
Please ask God to guide your giving and consider supporting MBC this year.
