“I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer.” ~Psalm 17:6
Praise God:
- Praise God for a beautiful day and much community interaction at Charter Day.
- Praise God that Augie Lavornia is home now after having knee surgery. Please continue to pray for healing.
- Praise God that Marian Miller was able to attend a part of ladies Bible study last week! She was so blessed to be there & that the ladies prayed over her!
For our MBC Family & Friends, please pray for:
- Pray for Joanne Kling as she is facing some health issues. Please pray for wisdom for the doctors and peace, and for Joanne to experience strength, and healing.
- Continue to pray for Larry Ziemba as he recovers from eye surgery.
- Please pray for Marie Lindgren that the Lymphedema and pain will continue to improve, that her new therapy will help her jaw to open wider, and that swallowing would improve. Pray for God to heal Marie for His glory.
- Pray for Cathey Donaruma’s mom who is 95 years old. She had abdominal aneurism surgery and is recovering well.
- Please pray for Bianca Burke as she begins a new chapter of her life as a college graduate, and for the college bible study to continue reaching college students with the gospel, and discipling them as faithful followers of Jesus.
- Please continue to pray for Marian Miller as she recovers from post-concussion syndrome. She’s now having vestibular therapy. She feels it’s helping & is looking forward to a full recovery. She & Bill thank you so much for all your prayers, cards, emails, calls & gifts. They feel they are truly blessed to be in such a loving community of believers!
- Steve Gundersen has completed clinical trial injections to treat his multiple myeloma. Please pray that the treatments help slow the progression of his illness.
- Clint Pompey had his position eliminated at work and will be actively looking for a new job. He is a network engineer. Please pray God will open doors for him.
- Please continue to pray for our expectant mothers. Clint and Emily Pompey are expecting their second child in June.
Our Church:
- Please pray for Pastor Dave Hentschel as he prepares for this week’s sermon on 2 Timothy 4:6-22.
Our nation & those in authority.
1 Timothy 2: 1-2 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
- Please pray for the those in authority in our nation.
Our Extended Family & Friends:
- Continue to pray for First Choice! The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision was unanimous and a tremendous victory. The Court agreed with First Choice’s petition that they can now argue that their constitutional rights are being violated by the Attorney General’s unlawful subpoena in federal court. Prayer is still needed, however, because the Attorney General is trying to enforce its compliance in state court. Pray that the impact of the Supreme Court’s decision will reach far and wide, for First Choice’s protection in the future and the protection of pregnancy centers nationwide.
- Please pray for Bill Miller’s sister, Ellen, who’s been diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer with hot spots in other places. She starts chemo next week, but is already in a weakened condition due to pulmonary fibrosis & other health conditions. Please also pray for wisdom and grace for her daughter and husband who she lives with.
- Deb Ludecker’s son, Russell, was diagnosed with cancer. Russ will start with radiation and chemo. Please pray that after this treatment the PET Scan on week 3 will show improvement.
- One of our attendees requests prayer for Megan Skirka. Megan is 25 and was just diagnosed with leukemia. Please pray for her.
- Don Knorr’s brother, Steve has been diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas and bile ducts. He will initially be undergoing chemotherapy that will probably be followed by surgery. Please pray for his physical healing and comfort in heart.
- Please pray for Rachel Rickershauser’s sister, Stephanie, for good report at the follow up from knee surgery. Pray for group home staff to be trained well and they would be prepared for her return to the group home, hopefully later this month.
- Debbie & Randy Ruetsch’s daughter and son in law, Erin & Jon, who are adopting – Alissa and Shawn (ages 11 and 9) in Kansas. Please pray for God’s blessings on them as they begin this new journey and the challenges they will face as a family.
- Please pray for Bill Miller’s brother, Paul, as he’s been diagnosed with LEMS. Praise God the lymph node biopsies were negative! Please pray for Paul and Nancy’s salvation.
Missionary Partner for the week:
Renee Fanok working with Street Hope Alive in Paterson, New Jersey
Our missionary of the week is Renee Fanok with Street Hope Alive, a Christ centered ministry committed to serving more than 1100 children aged 2-23 years old in Paterson, New Jersey. Because of your prayers and generosity, Street Hope Alive continues to bring lasting change to the lives of inner-city children — providing essentials, guidance, and joy while helping them walk closely with Jesus. There will be a Celebration of Baptism on May 30th for the children who have given their lives to Jesus. Street Hope Alive staff is working hard to plan for this Summer’s Inspire Sports Camp for the kids as soon as the school year is over. Also, pray for added financial support to help keep the Sanctuary functioning and to provide transportation and scholarships for the children to attend Summer camp and The Dawn Treader School in the Fall.
Pray for our World:
Pastor, Christians Jailed in Yemen
A pastor and other Christians have been jailed indefinitely since early 2026. Pastor Jon has served Christ in Yemen for many years despite repeated threats on his life. In 2012, Islamist militants rushed into his church, and one held a gun to his head. He fully expected to die, but the militants did not kill him that day. (His story was previously shared in VOM’s August 2023 magazine.) In early February 2026, Pastor Jon was arrested along with roughly two dozen other Christians who have been detained since. For three weeks, Pastor Jon’s wife didn’t know what had happened to him or if he was alive. Fortunately, she was able to see him and reported that his spirit is strong, but he has lost weight and his head has been shaved. Front-line workers requested prayer that Jon and the other Christians will soon be released and for strength for his wife and the other Christian families dealing with the consequences of the arrests.
